solid state memory may be replacing RAM type memeory, with the expanding capability of flash memory one may soon be able to turn off their computer without fear of data loss. With the innovations in flash memery, i predict within the next five to ten years computers will function with both a solid state hard drive, as well as solid state ram, which in less voulnerable to data loss.
